Listed below are events that the African Skye Pipe Band, or members thereof, will be participating in this year.
26 February - Sandy Mallen Solo Piping Competition - Johannesburg
A solo piping competition hosted by the Scottish Piping Society of the Witwatersrand at KES school in Houghton.
5 March - The African Skye Solo Piping and Drumming Championships - Johannesburg
A solo piping and drumming competition hosted by the African Skye Pipe Band at the Jeppe High School for Girls playing fields in Kensington.
20 March - Eastern Cape Highland Gathering - Port Elizabeth
The gathering shall comprise of solo piping, solo drumming, band competitions and Highland dancing.
2 April - 100 Guineas Solo Piping Competition - Johannesburg
A solo piping competition hosted by the Scottish Piping Society of the Witwatersrand at KES school in Houghton.
16 April - Lyttelton Manor Gathering - Pretoria
The gathering will take place at Lyttelton Manor High School and shall comprise of band competitions and highland dancing. This is a PBASA Regional gathering and the results count towards the PBASA Regional Champion Award.
16 April - Fort Nottingham Highland Games - Nottingham Road, Kwazulu Natal.

30 April - South Coast Highland Gathering - Amanzimtoti, Kwazulu Natal
The gathering will take place at Hutcheson Park and shall comprise of band competitions and highland dancing. This is a PBASA Championship gathering and the results count towards the PBASA Champion of Champions Award.
1 May - South Coast Highland Gathering Solo Piping and Drumming Championships - Amanzimtoti, Kwazulu Natal
A solo piping and drumming competition that shall take place at Hutcheson Park.
14 & 15 May - Celtic Fest - Johannesburg
The Celtic Fest will take place at Champetre Estate, Modderfontein, and shall comprise of band competitions, solo piping and drumming competitions, and Highland and Irish dancing competitions. This is a PBASA Regional gathering and the results count towards the PBASA Regional Champion Award. The pipe band events take place on the Saturday and the solo piping and drumming events take place on the Sunday.
28 May - De La Salle Gathering - Johannesburg
The gathering will take place at De La Salle College and shall comprise of band competitions and highland dancing. This is a PBASA Regional gathering and the results count towards the PBASA Regional Champion Award.
11 June - Pretoria Boys Gathering - Pretoria
The gathering will take place at Pretoria Boys High School and shall comprise of band competitions and highland dancing. This is a PBASA Championship gathering and the results count towards the PBASA Champion of Champions Award.
18 June - Natal Scottish Gathering - Durban, Kwazulu Natal
The gathering shall comprise of solo piping, solo drumming, band competitions and highland dancing. General public welcome.
25 June - Transvaal Scottish Highland Gathering - Johannesburg
The gathering shall comprise of band competitions and Highland dancing.
16 July - St Benedict's Gathering - Johannesburg
The gathering will take place at St Benedict's College and shall comprise of band competitions and highland dancing. This is the PBASA Regional Final and the PBASA Regional Champion Awards are announced at the conclusion of this gathering. Also included in this day are the All Africa Highland Dancing championships.
30 July - Benoni Gathering (South African Championships) - Benoni
The gathering will take place at Benoni High School and shall comprise of band competitions and highland dancing. The winners of the day are declared the South African Champions. This is also the PBASA Championship Final and the PBASA Champion of Champions Awards are announced at the conclusion of this gathering. General public welcome.
27 August to 4 September - South African Tattoo - Johannesburg
The South African Tattoo will return to Montecasino in 2011. Rehearsals start on the 27 August with the shows starting on the 31 August.
1 October - George Ackroyd Challenge Solo Piping Competition - Johannesburg
A solo piping competition hosted by the Scottish Piping Society of the Witwatersrand at KES school in Houghton.
15 October - Midrand Honorary Rangers Gathering including the PBASA South African Solo Drumming Championships
